Cognitive coaching is the process of facilitating reflection in educators. Cognitive coaches use questioning, paraphrasing, pausing and rapport building strategies to mediate teacher reflection.

The goal of cognitive coaching is to help educators become more flexible, efficacious, conscious, aware of their craft and interdependent. These are indicators of highly effective professionals who are continuous learners.

Cognitive coaching is a wonderful tool that, when used effectively, accelerates school improvement, improves school culture and promotes continuous growth. Administrators, teacher leaders, and professional development trainers should all have the tools and processes of of Cognitive Coaching to use in teacher evaluation conferences and classroom coaching.

The training is engaging, interactive and enjoyable. Educators can have basic skills in four days of training and these skills will serve them well in may ares of their lives.
